When email violates open meeting laws

That’s the title of a new section at the WikiFOIA. We’ll be hearing more about this from here and there around the country, and it will be good to try to pull the different stories and allegations together in one place.

My Fox Memphis is reporting on a current situation, in which the school board of Memphis (Tennessee) City Schools may have violated that state’s open meeting laws by exchanging emails that discussed the vacancy in the school superintendent position.

On Saturday, the Arizona Republic reported similar concerns about the Surprise (Arizona) City Council.
