Public emails in an athletic department scandal

The University of Toledo athletic department hired Suzette Fronk in 2001 to monitor spending and help get the department’s budget out of the red.

In May 2007, she was fired.

The Toledo Blade ran an article that raised questions about this.

The Blade Event blog is following ongoing developments. These include the discovery, through an open records request, that the school’s athletic director was emailing with the newspaper’s general manager about the newspaper’s coverage.
