I’m happy to have stumbled across two terrific blogs about public records and FOIA:
News Reporting and Public Records is the blog of a professor who teaches “Applied Fact Finding” at the University of Florida. The blog looks like it is used as a guide during the time the course is taught. Since the course focuses on getting records from local officials, it should be a great resource.
Then there’s Tales of Obtaining Public Records: A chronicle of getting the government to allow open access by a private investigator.
Both blogs are added to my blogroll. I know my readers will enjoy them.
