Robert Mullins of Augusta, Georgia is our 25th Sunshine Troublemaker of the Week. Mullins is the head of the Association for Fair Government; he is currently awaiting a judge’s ruling on an open records lawsuit he filed against the city of Augusta.
Mullins wants access to public records in from Augusta’s procurement or purchasing department. These have been slow in coming; thus, the lawsuit, which was joined by the Augusta Chronicle and directed at both the city and Geri Sams. Sam is the Procurement Director for Augusta, and the custodian of the records Mr. Mullins wishes to see.
The city of Augusta has experienced some tardiness issues.
Carry on, Mr. Mullins, enjoy the esteemec company whose ranks you have been inducted into, and best wishes on your lawsuits…and on getting those records.
