Links for a summer Friday

There’s now a section at Blogopedia devoted to blogs about open records and Freedom of Information issues. Add yours if it is missing.

The tiny think tank that sponsors WikiFOIA is named after Lucy Burns. Lucy now has a page on Facebook. Her birthday is coming up next week and we have a couple of projects we’re going to launch in her honor.

We noted a few days ago that New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, targeted by an open records lawsuit seeking emails he exchanged with a former girlfriend, said that he’s just going to stop using email. These people can probably relate to that.

According to FOI FYI, the Michigan state senate is now posting its staff salaries online.

The Missouri Sunshine blog has moved to a new address and has lots of great new content.

I wish every state had a blog like Washington’s Open Government or Pass Open Records from Pennsylvania.
