South Dakota: tsk, tsk

As the open government community knows, South Dakota is Numero 50 on the open government scale. That’s a 50 where “1” is best.

So we are shocked and surprisedtm to learn that a legislative committee in South Dakota just killed a bill that would have defined all government records as open, unless they were specifically defined as private.

According to Larry Rhoden, a Republican who voted to kill the bill, it went too far.
