Electronic discovery

If it’s January, it must be time to re-visit some of the most interesting blogs out there–the very niche speciality blogs that cover issues having to do with e-mail and electronic discovery:

Electronic Discovery Online.

Westcott’s Electronic Discovery Blog.

and my personal favorite:

Death By Email.

At the state and local level, I think it is fair to say, most public employees do not yet know that their emails are vulnerable to public records requests. (As I occasionally argue, this is because they don’t get the training and orientation they deserve.) Of those public employees who do know that their e-mails are or should be public–if what they believe is similar to what most people believe–they are not aware that getting rid of stuff online isn’t nearly as easy as hitting the “delete” key.
